Why Natural Stone?

There is a big question out there that goes something like this: “Why use natural stone if imitation looks just as good?” I can agree only when considering the difference in total cost to install. Fake stone is much more economical to install, not to mention faster, than full dimension stone. However, with natural stone you never have to worry about weathering, broken edges or warranties. With natural stone weathering only adds to the beauty, broken edges reveal more stone and warranties on thousand year old materials seem trivial.

As the countless choices are considered in stone applications, it is my opinion, natural stone is the only option. There is no comparison to natural stone in beauty and longevity. For many, this is no revelation but there is still the prohibitive issue of cost. Tennessee Stone Harvesting is providing the solution to this problem.

Tennessee Stone Harvesting brings the best of natural stone and fake stone together with our 100% natural Thinstone veneer. We start with natural stone then cut it to the appropriate thickness which, in turn, significantly reduces its weight. This translates into an application process identical to fake stone. So, you can now have natural stone for a comparable price to that of fake stone. This does not in any way diminish the appeal of natural stone but simply increase the affordability. Our innovative process increases the usable product from each stone and therefore reduces the material and application costs.

With this is mind, maybe the question changes to: “Why would you NOT use natural stone?”

TENNESSEE STONE HARVESTING

NATURALLY INNOVATIVE:
THE UNIQUE LOOK YOU’VE ALWAYS WANTED IS YOURS, AND ONLY YOURS.

THINSTONE is exactly as it sounds…100% natural stone which is cut thin. New methods allow us to cut stone, creating lightweight pieces that retain their exceptional strength and durability. The major result of this innovation is that, at a minimum, we double the stone’s coverage area while eliminating a significant amount of excess weight. This innovative approach to interior and exterior stone veneer and siding materials provides a more efficient installation process and virtually eliminates maintenance. What Tennessee Stone Harvesting offers is a process that is truly unique, where no design is ever replicated, giving you a home that is a work of art to call your own.

“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” Helen Keller

NATURALLY AUTHENTIC:
FROM REAL STONE COMES REAL BEAUTY.

Our thin cut veneers are 100% natural stone. The beauty found in Our Thinstone veneer is not simply found in the design, but also in the process that makes it. Each piece comes from regional quarries, and is then cut to specifications at our facility, ensuring the quality and precision necessary for a beautiful finish and a undeniable natural look that lasts a lifetime.

“Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you.” Frank Lloyd Wright

NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL:
YOU HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT YOUR PERFECT HOME LOOKS LIKE, WHAT IT FEELS LIKE. TO YOU, IT COMES NATURALLY. IT SHOULD.

Natural stone is beautiful simply because it is natural. There are many attempts to imitate the colors, textures, and shapes of natural stone but it can never be truly replicated. Our 100% natural Thinstone maintains the textures and aesthetic qualities that only nature can provide and is suitable for any interior or exterior stone veneer project you can imagine. For hundreds of years, stone has been the building material of choice primarily due to the resilience, timeless beauty and unique look natural stone offers. Our 100% natural Thinstone veneer is the material of choice for any project the commands the finest appearance.

“The richness I achieve comes from Nature, the source of my inspiration.” Claude Monet

NATURALLY RESPONSIBLE:
NATURAL FOR YOUR HOME. RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. THERE’S NATURAL BEAUTY IN RESPONSIBILITY.

Tennessee Stone Harvesting is not just a beautiful choice for your home’s appearance, but a beautiful choice for your environment as well. We have a deep respect for the land from which our product comes, and the choice to preserve it through responsible practices in all areas of our business is vital to what we do and who Tennessee Stone Harvesting is. No stone we cut will be discarded. Instead, it will be cut, split, ground or crushed until each piece is put to a good and natural use. Further, none of our stone veneers and siding materials requires chemicals, dyes or stains to achieve their beautiful look. Our 100% natural Thinstone is truly the best that nature has to offer.

“A true conservationist is a man who knows that the world is not given by his fathers but borrowed from his children.” Audobon
